Hey, love the video. I did a bunch of container gardening in my last apartment and now I’m hooked :) Question though, what’s the song on this vid? Got a great groove to it.

Amazing videos. I love it when people show all the transformation like you did. Seeing seeing a video on how to plant doesn’t do it. Everyone wants to see the end result. Thank you for putting up these videos. If you don’t mind me asking, how long did it take for the tomato plant to grow and fruit? If I were to plant the seeds in spring will I have enough time or should I buy the plant and transfer it to my pot? Again, thank you for putting up the videos!

Cool vid. I live in Dallas with a small patio and I want to plant a container garden. What veggies produced well for you? What will you do different this next season?

Thank you! Yes, I’ve got seedlings in the window and some peas, beans, strawberries and various other things growing now. Kids have already picked all the peas…:) I appreciate your comment. Good luck with your container garden this year!!

Loved all your videos! This is just what I was looking for, because I just started my own container vegie garden and don’t have a clue what to do after they all sprout. lol We live in Las Vegas and our last attempt at a raised bed garden didn’t go very well, so we’re back at it with containers. I loved seeing your face in the one video. Thank you for posting all of this great info. It’s been a huge help!
Are you planting a 2009 garden??

  8. greentxmama says:

Thanks! I’m looking forward to my first tomato of the season…still a ways off, I think. Hope the rest of your tomatoes make it!

Your garden is looking good. I ate my first container grown tomato of the season. “Leaf Wilt” has been a big problem for us. Many gardeners have lost all their plants. I’ve lost over 1/3 of mine so far.

This is the first time I’ve grown carrots…I just sprinkled the seeds in there and I’ve been slowly thinning them out since. My pot is too small for carrots but it’s all I had at the time. I’ll be happy if I get 5 or 6 really decent carrots. Next year…bigger pot or in the ground. :)

very nice~ I am going to plant my carrots in a container as well, do you have to thin out the seedlings? or did you just plant them far apart? thats my only hang up with container planting, is that I am never sure about how much or how far apart to put things. :(
