You might want to try this….
    1/4 cup parsley flakes
2 tablespoons each dried oregano, basil and marjoram, crumbled
    2 tablespoons sugar
    1 tablespoon fennel seeds, crushed
    1 tablespoons dry mustard
    1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper

Place all the ingredients in a 1 pint jar, cover tightly and shake well to mix. Store in a cool, dark, dry place. Makes 1 cup

Basil, Thyme, a hint of Marjoram…

The dressing I like in my salads is juice of limes and/or lemons with salt, pepper, paprika.

You could also use some balsamic vinegar…

Fry some fat back or bacon and with grease put a touch of vinegar and pour some buttermilk in grease so it curds up and pour over salad you will never eat it any other way!!!!!****

I just like a bit of salt and pepper, and a squeeze of meyer lemon. Use whatever herbs you’ve got laying around. Test out what you like and what you don’t.

You really just have to try some to see what you like the taste of! But I love fresh basil and cilantro in my salads – and look for purple basil or lemon basil for a nice twist. Tarragon is nice too but go easy with that one! You can also use fresh parsley, a bit of oregano and thyme – those are all delicious!

Finally, someone that has the same taste that I have! I hate dressing on my salad. Everyone thinks that I am nuts including the wait staff when I dine out. With that said, I like the following on my salad.

Garlic powder, oregano or Italian seasoning, freshly ground black or white pepper, dash of paprika and a dash of ground cumin.

I usually premix all of these and keep in a dark bottom in a cool, dry place for up to 2 months but no longer. Dried spices tend to lose some of there flavor over time. I also love to use fresh herbs when available.
